## Theme Music Review > [!rank-15] Rank (M3R Rank:: 15) > [M3R Rating:: 5/2/4/4] > [M3R Grade:: B+] ![top right|180](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/megaman/images/6/67/Mm7freezeman-digi.png)This one was an absolute surprise for me. I always dug this track as a kid, but it's not my favorite from the game and didn't really assume much from it when I started this list. But, when I switched my rating method away from pure feel to using actual criteria instead, this one shot of out nowhere from high-mid to just plain high for a couple of reasons I'll get to below. This tack was composed by **Toshihiko Horiyama**, who got his start composing *just* the password theme from *Mega Man X*, and would go on to compose most of the soundtrack for *Demon's Crest* before his work on 7. It makes me wonder that if Capcom put him on a game that clearly required a specific vibe to compose for, perhaps they realized early on that his style was strong in this area. Atmospherically and thematically, Freeze Man's theme is amazing. The intro melody is carried by cheery synth stabs, backed by a beautiful arpeggiating sparkly square, and immediately transports you to a bright and snowy landscape that speaks to both the stage and the Robot Master. There's another ice level in the top 10 that takes a completely different approach to the concept, but outside of that particular gem, this track is in my opinion the most solid ice-themed songs in all of classic Mega Man. %% start banner %% > [!svc-HLH]- ⇧Aesthetics // ⇩Originality // ⇧Intellect || “Enchanting” [color:: HLH] %% end banner %% %% start m3rnext %%Continue: [[Shade Man - Mega Man 7|Rank 14]] →%% end m3rnext %%
