## Theme Music Review > [!rank-9] Rank (M3R Rank:: 9) > [M3R Rating:: 3/4/5/4] > [M3R Grade:: A] ![topright|180](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/megaman/images/b/bd/SheepMan.png) This one is kind of special. Usually a subdued track like this wouldn’t score *that* highly, since up-temp and/or exciting stuff is usually what Mega Man music is going for. But the rather brilliant theming on this one is what puts it over. ^preview Both the Robot Master *and* the theme music is a reference to the sci-fi novel _[Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Do_Androids_Dream_of_Electric_Sheep%3F)_. We can hear this in the music, by way of the arpeggiating square(?) waves that adorn both the intro, and final section before the loop, not to mention being subtly woven ([pun not intended](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wool)) here and throughout the track. Also, call me crazy, but I get a strong [*Take On Me*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djV11Xbc914&list=RDdjV11Xbc914&start_radio=1) vibe from this track. It’s definitely the use arpeggios, and second section of Sheep Man’s track having the same sort of playful 80s synth-y feeling. %% start banner %% > [!svc-MHH]- ⥊Aesthetics // ⇧Originality // ⇧Intellect || “Intriguing” [color:: MHH] %% end banner %% %% start m3rnext %%Continue: [[Pharaoh Man - Mega Man 4|Rank 8]] →%% end m3rnext %%
